Prospero's Dream Loadouts
I recently started running A Pound of Flesh for the Mothership RPG, and I have to say it's quickly becoming one of my favourite modules for any system I've played. It gives you a rich world to explore with lots of interesting factions and locations, and the mystery and horror elements are top notch.
One thing I needed though was a set of loadouts for characters specifically for the setting of Prospero's Dream. I felt that when a character dies or a new player joins the table there was no quick way to get the player into the action with a fitting character.
I know Mothership is pretty quick with its character generation but having careers and loadouts that fit the setting helps speed things up even more, and gives players a better idea of the kind of roles they can take on in the story. Each career comes with a unique loadout that fits the role and the style of Prospero's Dream.
The way I run the module is that characters arrive on The Dream via a ship first up but then after any deaths the players roll on these tables to determine their new career and loadout. It keeps things fresh and exciting, and players get to try out different roles in the setting.
